The history of Lumber Unlimited began, in 1965, when four existing lumber distributors jointly formed the Company to produce trusses for their customers in the Jacksonville, Florida market. The operation, at the time, was known as Trusses Unlimited, Inc. A consortium of local builders then acquired the Company in 1981, to supply their own requirements for manufactured trusses. Now under the ownership and management of Ken Kuester, and its' new name, Lumber Unlimited has become the market leader in Northeast Florida to the custom homebuilder with an offering of quality materials, professional sales experts, and a total commitment to prompt customer service.
		The Company has continued to expand its' product offerings to maximize the sales to their core customers. The product selection has grown to include engineered trusses and floor systems, brick and block, doors, trim, moulding, hardware, and framing lumber. In order to fully capture the custom homebuilder market, a complex designer showroom was constructed in 1994. This full range design center was built to accommodate easy and complete specifications of building products by the architect, interior designer, builder and homeowner.
