Cutting

Mounting the knives into the molder is a meticulous task. Knives must be exactly the same weight and loaded into the cutter heads in pairs. As we mentioned earlier, the cutter heads spin very fast, thousands of revolutions per second and must be perfectly balanced. Each moulder can be loaded with up to six cutter heads. Once the knives are loaded into the necessary number of Cutter Heads for your moulding design, your prepared fine wood is fed through the Moulder. As the wood travels under and over the cutter heads, each pair of knives make the cuts that will yield your moulding design.
